Lenovo to Release 'More Stylish ThinkPad'

Lenovo is reportedly set to launch a new range of ThinkPad laptops, which are aimed at small to medium-sized businesses.

PC Advisor reports that the new ThinkPad SL laptops have been given a "more stylish look" by Lenovo and feature other upgrades for high-definition media.

The laptops are reported to be priced between $699 and $1,199 when they hit the shelves across the US. The ThinkPads will be pre-installed with an online backup service and new technology to allow the device to be tracked if it is stolen.

Charles Sune, worldwide segment manager for the ThinkPad SL series, told PC Advisor: "The online backup service will be a first for the entire ThinkPad line. It will provide a way for businesses on a budget to back up data."

Lenovo was recently ranked number one in the Technology Business Research's Notebook IT Buying Behavior and Customer Satisfaction Study for the first quarter of 2008.
