Build Your Career on Facebook
Facebook is teaming up with jobs site CareerBuilder.com to run recruitment campaigns on the social network site.
Specialized recruiting adverts will promote CareerBuilder within a specially developed part of the Facebook site, with the view of attracting specific types of job seekers.
An example from CareerBuilder said that an engineering firm may be able to target people with engineering degrees.
Richard Castellin, vice president of consumer marketing for CareerBuilder, told Reuter's: "CareerBuilder is spending a considerable amount of money to promote on the Facebook site and the Facebook network, and then we'll have the ability to resell certain units to continue that promotion for our clients."
It is also aimed to target people who don't use traditional methods such as newspaper job adverts, the company say. Clicking on an advert on Facebook will take users to a CareerBuilder web page.
Industry figures show that Facebook has more than 64 million users worldwide and is the fifth-most-popular site in regards to web traffic.
