Spitzer's Prostitution Ads in Google
Submitted by Computers on Tue, 03/11/2008 - 14:12You're the Governor of New York and you've got your trusty government credit card ready to go. Wire taps reveal that Client 9 would pay for everything -- train tickets, cab fare from the hotel and back, mini bar or room service, travel time and hotel. With this in mind, enterprising businesses are seizing the moment and bidding for "spitzer prostitutes" in Google. Perhaps they forgot that prostitution is a crime and that members of the Emperors Club VIP prostitution ring were just indicted. Then again, this is targeted marketing. Note: The search was conducted in the NYC area and may not appear in yours.

Was Political Candidate's Website Hacked?
Submitted by Computers on Sun, 01/20/2008 - 09:51Allegations of computer hacking have dogged the announcement that Charlotte mayor Pat McCrory was planning to stand for governor.
The controversy erupted when an email revealing Mr McCrory's candidacy was send out with the sentence "Pat McCrory Governer".
When a journalist asked Victoria Smith, McCrory's campaign manager, about the issue, she replied: "There's no way this was misspelled."
She went on to say that a hacker had accessed the campaign's computer to alter the word. She also alleged that someone had been hacking McCrory's mayoral website for six months.
